Nestled on High Street in the vibrant heart of Christchurch’s CBD, Head Over Heels is more than just a boutique shoe store. We’re a family owned and operated business, passionate about customer service and handcrafted shoes and accessories sourced from around the globe. We also run our rapidly growing website from this location, adding to the dynamic energy of our store.

MATERNITY COVER (Mid April/May – December)
15–22 hours per week, ideally available Wednesday to Friday

This role combines graphic design, photography and e-commerce content creation, helping shape how our collections and campaigns are presented across digital and in-store platforms.

This role is particularly well suited to someone who enjoys working across both design and photography, and who likes bringing products and campaigns to life through strong visual storytelling.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

• Designing marketing assets for our website, EDMs, social media, digital campaigns and in-store promotional materials
• Managing and updating our Shopify website, including product uploads, homepage features, landing pages and visual merchandising of collections
• Writing product descriptions, EDM copy and website content in the Head Over Heels tone
• Creating organic social media content to build engagement and brand loyalty
• Photographing product shoots and street-style content
• Producing photography, reels and video content for the website and social media
• Ensuring the website remains visually strong, easy to navigate and up to date

You will also work with our in-office lightbox setup to produce product imagery for our website and marketing.

You will work closely with our team on seasonal campaigns and product launches, helping shape how collections are presented across both digital and in-store channels.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

We are looking for someone who has:

• Strong graphic design skills with a good eye for layout and visual balance
• Experience editing and retouching product photography
• Photography skills, including product, campaign and street-style photography
• Ability to write clear and engaging copy for EDMs and website descriptions
• A strong understanding of brand consistency and visual storytelling
• Proven ability to manage multiple creative tasks and deliver work efficiently
• Excellent organisation and ability to work independently
• Experience using Adobe Creative Suite, Klaviyo and Shopify is required; Lightspeed experience is an advantage

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

This role suits someone experienced, highly organised and confident working independently. We are looking for someone who takes initiative, works efficiently and enjoys taking ownership of their work.

As a small team, we value people who are productive, solutions-focused and comfortable managing multiple creative tasks without close supervision.

This is an office-based role and requires working from our Christchurch CBD location
